Here we are going to make a hanging lights that will contains 3 LED bulbs, however if your want more that 3 bulbs you can add more if you want to but remember you will need a longer plywood board than 4'. Now you have your plywood board, measure, mark and drill 3 holes in every 1' distance on the length of the board and in the center of width from both sides. These holes should be wide enough to pass electrical cable from in it. I created these holes using 10 mm twist drill bits because my cable has roughly around 9 mm of diameter. See the pictures below.
Now we will have to make 4 holes at all 4 corner of the plywood at 1". Each hole should be wide enough to pass through canvas rope. So carefully measure and mark the plywood board corner with the help of measuring tape and pencil like in the picture below.
After making these 4 holes we need to cut our 5' canvas rope in to 2 equal parts of 2.5' and inset these into the holes. Insert first row into two holes of one side of the plywood and knot both end of the rope and burn the knot end of the rope so that rope can be prevented from damage at the end. Do the same with the other end of the plywood. Please remember we have to knot the at the downside of the board because rest of the rope will hang from upside on the ceiling. See the picture for better understanding.
Now we need to make connection of 3 led bulbs with their respective holders and wiring of the connection. Connect one wire (Red) in all the 3 bulb holder's first point, then connect second wire (Black) in all 3 bulb holder to the second point, and make the input points of the connection so that we can connect the circuit to the power source. Secure and insulate all the connection with electrical tape. So no one can be electrocuted. See the diagram below.
Now your hanging lights are ready to install into the shop. Hang the lights using nails or clamp in the ceiling using drill machine or by simply putting nail in the ceiling. If desired, stain or paint the plywood to match the decor of your shop.
